Re: Swaziland South Africa Documentary

Issue: Full length video divided into 3 sections

Greetings,
From July 15th through July 24th I spent time in South Africa, in particular The Kingdom Of Swaziland. My mission was to perform a series of shows at night and work during the day with a group called Heart For Africa.

With that said, I believe it would be more effective for you to watch the video documentary, than for me to put into words (blog) about this incredible experience!

Peace,
Joseph

With Earl Klugh and Bob James… May 26, 2010

I wanted to write a quick blog post about the amazing shows that I experienced with Earl Klugh in Los Angeles (Catalina Jazz Club) and with Bob James and Earl Klugh in Seattle (Jazz Alley). Getting an opportunity to perform and share the stage with two legends of jazz was an absolute career highlight. In addition to the musical inspiration, it was even more rewarding to find these two gentlemen to be such great people. It was a true honor and a very humbling experience.

In addition to sharing the stage with Earl and Bob, sharing the stage with David Lee Spradley (keys), Yonrico Scott (drums), Logan Patton (sound engineer LA) and David Kuhn (sound engineer Seattle) was a treat and honor as well.

Lastly, the unsung hero of the show(s) was Earl Klugh’s manager. She is one of the best I’ve ever seen and none of this would have been possible without her steady hand and sage expertise. All in all (musically and otherwise), I am very thankful for the opportunity to have made music with this cast of amazing artists and to be surrounded by wonderful genuine people.

Now on with the Motley…

Peace,
Joseph
